Sadio Mane’s highly successful stint at Liverpool came to an end this summer as he joined Bayern Munich in a £35m move.

The Senegalese winger joined the Reds in 2016.

He went on to make 269 appearances for the club, scoring 120 times and helping them to six trophies.

Mane conducted himself perfectly off and on the pitch throughout his time at the Reds.

As well as being brilliant on the pitch, Mane has also earned a reputation for being humble and one of the most generous players in world football.

And he showed his class yet again after his Liverpool departure.

It was revealed by BILD journalist Christian Falk last weekend that Mane sent 150 packages to Liverpool staff, from the cleaning lady to the security guard.

Everyone got a picture of Mane, a box of chocolates and a handwritten letter.

An image of the chocolates and portrait that Mane sent quickly emerged.

And now the letter that each employee has come to light.

Posted on to Twitter by @TheAnfieldTalk, the letter Mane sent reads: “We have celebrated great victories together and created my incredible story in the last six years.

“You were always with me in good and bad times.

“In my heart you will forever have a special place. Thanks for everything!”

Mane really is the epitome of class. The 30-year-old clearly recognises he wouldn’t be the star he is today without all the help he has received throughout his football career.

Mane has had a superb start to life in Germany.

The winger scored in Bayern’s Super Cup victory against Red Bull Leipzig in July.

He then found the net on his Bundesliga debut, scoring in Bayern’s 6-1 demolition of Frankfurt on the opening day of the season.

Mane has won numerous trophies during his career and it seems almost inevitable he will add to that tally in the 2022/23.

Former wonderkid but injuries ruined my football career (honestly). Once scored a last second equaliser against Charlton. Probably the biggest Jonjo Shelvey fan on the planet.
